I dig it... though I think the cheaper option should still have a flippin' rollbar.
The sweet looks of vintage with the reliability of a Miata motor? Sounds fun! Though I'm sure the car doesn't -sound- like some growly old racecar, the only downside.

To be honest, I'd probably be "that guy" and complain about the roll bar looks. It just looks so damn good.

I'd want to see how the cage looks. Roll bars would be the lest of my worries. I'd want some side impact protection.

Whoa. That's the first Miata-based thing that I would not have guessed was a Miata.

Yes, strange as the wheelbase is essentially unchanged (if at all). Maybe the cockpit has been shifted rearward?

The wheelbase is likely dictated by using the entire original driveline, including the stock driveshaft, rather than a custom one.
But the chassis and body are unique, not Miata, so the cabin, and body proportions may well be different than the stock miata chassis and body.

Great kit... but a DBR1, even a replica, deserves an Inline 6.
left side intake, right side exhaust, and separate cam covers, sounds like a job for a Toyota 2JZ-GE with three twin-throat weber side draft look alike fuel injection throttle bodies, and a full header.

Yep. Custom chassis and stock drivetrain.

I like it. I like it a lot. Let's see more like this.
